Day One- Travel and Welcome to Shanghai

23 05 2013

We had a great day. It started at 3:00 am and the day was full of easy flights, smooth lay overs and good memories. The only hiccup was upon arriving in Shanghai, we did not have a guide. At first, I started to panic but then quickly I took a big breath and decided to relax and take in all the amazing sights and sounds around me. After about 20 minutes she arrived. We drove to the hotel check in and then walked around the city for about an hour. Shanghai is home to more than 26 million people! The city has buildings with  amazing architecture. The buildings range from modern needle shaped buildings to Old European like buildings. It’s a beautiful place.

We are both very tired and want to get some much needed rest! Our thoughts are with Levi on these final few days in the orphanage. We pray that God is preparing his heart for a family. I hope he’s getting to say all the goodbyes needed for him to be at peace with his new life.

“I have learned that I will not change the world. Jesus  will do that.

I can, however, change the world for one person. And if one  person

sees the love of Christ in me, it is worth every minute.

In fact,  it is worth spending my life for.”
